❓ Leif, how does it feel to hand over the CEO role?
👤 Leif: It feels good. Örnalp Unozon has been a big part of my life, but now it’s time for the next generation. Christian knows the business from the ground up and has both expertise and visions for the future.

❓ Christian, how does it feel to take over the responsibility?
👤 Christian: A great confidence that I feel humble about. The company has a good reputation for quality and long-term thinking. My task will be to manage it – and develop it further.

❓ Leif, what are you most proud of as CEO?
👤 Leif: That we have managed to stick to what we believe in – regardless of the economy. We have always invested in qualified welding work, specialized manufacturing and long-term customer relationships. I’m also proud that we have such loyal employees. Several have worked here for decades. That says something about both cohesion and culture.

❓ Christian, what do you want to focus on first?
👤 Christian: I want to build on what works, but also put more effort into development. This applies to both technology and people. We have already started investing in new machinery, digitalization and increased automation. In parallel, I want to develop our internal processes and continue to be an attractive workplace. Skills supply is the key to the future.

❓ How do you differ as leaders?
👤 Leif: I’m more old-fashioned and relationship-driven. Christian works more with structure and a long-term approach.
👤 Christian: Our differences are a strength. Leif brings people along, I come in with more of a tech and data focus. But we share the same values.

❓ How do you see the future of the industry and the company?
👤 Christian: I am very positive. The industry is in the middle of a transition – towards more sustainable, smarter and more flexible solutions. We have the skills and experience to be part of that development. Our niche expertise in pressure vessels, heat exchangers and specialty welding will also be in demand in the future.
👤 Leif: And we also see how customer requirements are changing. It’s not just quality – it’s traceability, environment, security of supply. We’ve already come a long way there. With Christian at the helm, it’s reassuring to know that we continue to be at the forefront.

❓ O ne last word – what do you hope people think when they hear “Örnalp Unozon”?
👤 Leif: Stability, reliability and quality. A company that stands for what we promise – in both small and large projects.
👤 Christian: I also hope that we are seen as a modern industry partner. A company that understands technology, but never forgets the people behind it. Because in the end, it’s all about collaboration – both internally and with our customers.
